I think digital people need to start thinking about the 'but' a bit more. For example I've seen this fact brought up in quite a few presentations lately 65,000 videos are being added per day to youtube but not so much of this one just 0.5% of youtube clips have more than 1,000 views.
How about this one: google is handling 1200 Million searches per day on average worldwide. A big audience granted, but no one really mentions how many subjects those searches are on when they pull this stat up as it puts things into perspective a little more. It's not like you can get to those 1200 million all at once like a TV channel.
I think we need a few more but's to keep us from over interpreting what is possible at the minute.
